Overview

Kevin Murphy and the Braemar Gathering, takes place in Scotland. Kevin implements the plan that he developed in the second book to get Queen Grace her pardon at Scotland’s world famous Braemar Gathering. Not only must he win three Scottish events—tossing the Caber, Putting the Stone and Throwing the Hammer—he must also compete in the dancing contest. For his plan to work, Kevin must compete against the world’s best competitors in each of these events and win so he can meet Queen Elizabeth II and ask for the pardon. Throughout the story, Kevin is confronted with the Father of Lies’ demons, who take on many forms as they seek to capture his soul. While enjoying Kevin’s adventures, which include finding and returning the real Stone of Destiny, the reader is introduced to the sites and history of Scotland.
